Endurancelife is an endurance-sport business based in South devon. set up in 2003 by a group of friends with a passion for challenge , adventure and the natural world they are quickly becoming a global lifestyle brand.Their marketing centers on the Facebook, Instagram, Linkedin pages. In one year they have gone from 0 to 27000 fans with around 128 new ones signing up each day! the aim is to build a global community of endurance sport enthusiasts. they want to inspire more and more people to challenge their limitations , explore the world through endurance sports and experience a better way of life.
Facebook spreads awareness of their brand and is building a passionate community that attends their events and buy their products. The total number of participants in Endurance-life events has doubled in the past year. Marketing manager Andrew Baker share what works for them:
With our Facebook post we make sure we 're never overly commercial. We hate being bombarded by commercial sales message ourselves so why would others engage with a message that is just sell. sell, sell?
We use Facebook to deliver value to our tribe of enthusiasts. We provide a space where people can talk about endurance sports and share stories among people who understand and are equally excited. we post photos, run competitions ( they are always popular), share videos, training tips and occasionally promote upcoming event too. we are keen for it to be a really encouraging place for our community.
We find that Facebook advertising works well in conjunction with our Facebook fan page. we've stopped any other forms of advertising- magazine advertising was too expensive and didn't get us result.
Facebook has help us to massively improve our customer service and saved us time and money - most questions are answered for us by tribe members themselves.

A comprehensive and coordinated campaign to build a social media presence
on the popular social media outlets, particularly facebook, Twitter, and
Youtube, but can include other social media outlets as well. Social
media provides the opportunity to build brand awareness, transmit
messages to key audiences, and drive website traffic at very low cost,
therefore offering big returns through more leads and prospects which in
turn promote sales and revenue.
Effective social media
marketing takes quality and consistency over time to build interest and a
following. This section describes the activities that will be part of
the social media marketing program over a six month social media
program.
Determine Social Media Strategy:
Review the Client the short term and long
goals in using social media.
Create an overall plan for initial and on-going social media activities
and responsibilities and for key messaging strategies.
Create/Update Accounts:
Create facebook, Twitter,
youtube channel, blog post site/area, and other social media accounts,
or update any existing accounts/blogs as needed (i.e. improved profile
images and descriptions). This includes applying existing logos and
marketing graphics or creating original profile content if required.
Initial Activity:Transmit initial and introductory message over the selected social media outlets. Sustain extra activity during start-up period.
Sustained Activity:When
the initial social media activity is complete, regular activity must be
sustained according to the social media marketing plan. Weekly or
monthly sessions with the client are held to brainstorm ideas, topics,
and messages for on-going activity, review social media results compared
to the plan, and make adjustments as
required.
Transition/Hand-Over:Once
this program is complete, the social media marketing activity will be
handed over to the Client marketing manager for long term activity. The
provider will be happy to present an on-going sustaining proposal for
social media marketing at that time.
Through all the activities,
the Provider will present a professional representation of the Client’s
business or organization that align closely with other marketing and
branding efforts.
